Brush & Yard Waste Policy

  1. Citywide curbside brush and yard waste pick-up will be conducted on the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month.

  2. Upon request curbside pick-up may be available on other dates.  To make arrangements for this service please contact the Street Department (327-5057) or City Office (327-4334.

  3. Brush larger than 9" in diameter will not be accepted.

  4. All brush and yard waste will need to be placed next to the curb in an accessible location.

  5. Grass, weeds, & leafy vegetation will need to be placed in boxes or bags.  Please note ONLY yard waste will be accepted and foreign materials will be left at the curb.

  6. Brush pick-up will be available for commercial tree trimming firms upon request.  Arrangements will need to be made in advance with the Street Department Superintendent.  The fee for this service will be based on a rate of $40.00/hr of brush chipper usage with a minimum charge of $40.00.

  7. Dumping of brush, yard wastes or other materials will no longer be allowed at the City Fairgrounds or on City Property.

Appliance Pick-up
Appliance pick-up by the City of Paris is scheduled periodically.  Please contact the Street Department (327-5057) or City Office (327-4334) for the next scheduled date.  This service is limited to residential only.  The City will take freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, hot water heaters, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, dishwashers, and furnaces.  We will not pick-up any other type of bulk trash.  Appliances must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled date.  Please make sure all appliances are clean inside and out.
