| The Monroe County Saddle Club is a non-profit organization that was established in the 1950's that gathers to enjoy the fellowship of trail riding and other equestrian appreciation. Annual family dues are $10. The Club sponsors the Annual Dorothy Sladek Memorial Ride in May and hosts a hayride & outdoor meal in October. It has been a long tradition that many members assist in parking cars via horseback at the Mark Twain 4th of July Rodeo as our annual fundraiser. Our club supports Monroe County by giving to: 4-H, Christmas-Is-Caring, American Cancer Society, Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding, Paris After Prom, and various other causes as voted by our members.
