NECAC serves the needs of approximately 60,000 low-income, elderly, youth, handicapped and disadvantaged residents in a 12-county area each year.  The agency operates more than 60 social service and community health programs through more than 30 contracts and grants with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other non-profit agencies.

"When a family needs temporary help finding a place to live, we offer help.  When an elderly woman with a heart condition can't pay an overdue utility bill, we offer a hand.  When a young woman needs training to overcome a cruel twist of life, we provide hope.  We are dedicated to the mission of offering a hand-up, not a hand-out to clients."
